“The health of the people is really the foundation upon which all their happiness and all their powers as a state depend.”
Flexible Solutions for the Health Sector
FINCON aims to create such a health system in Pakistan that provides complete healthcare solutions for individuals, families, and the private sector specially focused on meeting unfulfilled needs through integration of health services. We want to contribute in developing a society that is health-conscious and prepared to face the threat of any disease.
Health plays an important role in human development and inclusive growth. In Pakistan, healthcare problems are common across both genders; such is the inadequacy of health policies and programs in addressing the needs of the vast majority of the population, particularly in rural areas. The majority of women still lack the help of trained medical personnel for obstetric care.
Attempts have been made to improve the health conditions of the people through availability of trained people, adequate supply of medicines and establishment of health services. Yet, the healthcare system is still deficient in many respects. The main health problems are prevention of contagious diseases; severe malnutrition, and high birth rate resulting in a high rate of infant mortality.
Tuberculoses, Malaria and a wide variety of infant diseases, such as diarrhea, measles, and tetanus continue to threaten the health of millions of people in the country. Unhygienic conditions, polluted water, illiteracy, urban slums and high fertility rates, small budgetary allocation and inadequate administrative structure are all key hurdles to the improvement of health conditions
